Registration Info
Why pre-register?
The KinVention Committee relies on pre-registrations to:
- provide an estimate of total attendance -- To make sure everyone
has as good a time as possible, it's important that we know in
advance how many people are going to be at Kinvention. Based on the
number of pre-registration forms we receive, we can adjust the
number of rooms we have set aside for KinVention North use (both
ordinary hotel rooms and function rooms), as well as the amount of
refreshments needed.
- cover the costs of running KinVention -- The hotel at which
KinVention North is held requires that our fees for the function
rooms be paid no less than one month in advance. Without enough
pre-registrations, the money to make this payment needs to be
borrowed... and there are no guarantees of getting it back. If there
are few enough pre-registrations, KinVention North may even be
cancelled!
In addition, pre-registering with the hotel is usually a prerequisite
for getting the special Kinvention North rate for your room. Please
visit the website of our gracious hosts, the Walper
Terrace hotel, for information on booking a room.
Information on Postal Money Orders
For those in the United States who need to send funds for
pre-registration, you can get an International Postal Money Order
from any U.S. Post Office in equivalent American funds. However,
make sure you get the PINK international money order,
not the regular green domestic money order. You can use this
currency conversion calculator to
figure out how much to send in American funds.
